The flashlight is mainly powered by Ni-MH battery, and it is rechargeable (about 500times) in case of low battery capacity. There are two charging capabilities: hand crank charging and solar panel charging. There is a DC motor in the product, and with one-minute utilizing the hand crank (2 cycles per second), it will recharge the battery for 8 minutes of full light usage. The solar panel is charged by absorbing light energy. With a 30 minute solar charge in direct sunlight, the flashlight will be charged for up to 30 minutes. The battery can be fully charged in 10 hours by intense light.Ê
